I snuck into Hope’s room hoping that she was decently dressed. Well not really. A peek at her creamy thighs wouldn’t have hurt this morning. But it turned out not to be an issue because she was fully under the covers, still sleeping soundly. I sat down the vase of roses on her bed side table with a card. I was determined that this was going to be a day for her to remember.

“Hey.”

I whipped around to see her beautiful eyes were wide open now. “I was trying to sneak in and out. Sorry if I woke you.”

“Your intoxicating cologne woke me. I love the smell of it.” She sat up and adored her flowers. “Thank you. But you didn’t have to do all of this.”

“I did. Part of it is out of guilt. I have a meeting today, so I won’t be able to spend the morning with you,” I said as I sat on her bed. How could she look so amazing so early in the morning? Although her hair was all over the place, she still had the most adorable face.

“You do,” she pouted. That tugged at my heart just a bit. A lot actually.

“Yes. But it should be over by noon, maybe one. And then I am all yours.”

“Okay. I am going to hold you to that.”

“And to further bribe you I have ordered room service for you which should be arriving shortly. I figured I couldn’t go wrong with pancakes.”

“No you couldn’t. I am starving.”

“So I will see you later.”

“Yes sir. I will be ready.”
